What is Saju?
Saju (사주) — also known as BaZi (八字) in Chinese astrology — means "four pillars": the year, month, day, and hour of your birth. Each pillar carries a Heavenly Stem and an Earthly Branch, eight characters in total. Together they map the balance of the Five Elements within you: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water.

The hour pillar is where free tools break
Two of your eight characters come from your birth hour. Getting them right means correcting clock time to true solar time using the longitude of your birth city and the daylight saving rules in force that year — not reading the clock. Skip that step and the hour pillar can land a full pillar off.
Solar terms are computed, not looked up
Your month pillar turns on a solar term, not on the 1st. We solve for the sun's apparent ecliptic longitude across 1900–2050 rather than reading a fixed approximation table, so a birth near a boundary lands on the correct side of it.
